Vivian John Woodward (June 3, 1879 - January 31, 1954) was an English amateur football player.
He began his career at Clacton Town Football Club and joined Tottenham Hotspur in 1901 making his England debut in 1903, scoring twice in a 4-0 defeat of Ireland.
In one match against France in 1906, Woodward scored 8 goals in a 15-0 win according to The Times and Sporting Life match reports the following day.

I read this amusing NYT piece to Viv aloud because she was asking why I was chuckling.
Last weekend Viv and I were wandering about deepest Ballard, when we came across a small secretary desk, about two feet by one foot, that we immediately realized would fit well in our living room and displace one of the rickety 1950s TV trays that Viv has been employing a a computer and work desk.
Nearly immediately Viv found a matched table and chair set, rather plainer but probably older than the other one, for well under half the price that we'd been offered at the other place.
