FC Spartak Moskva and Russia striker Vladimir Beschastnykh has confirmed he is joining Turkey's Fenerbahçe SK after signing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Super League club.
The former SV Werder Bremen and Real Racing Club Santander striker had failed to agree terms for a new contract with Spartak and joins Fenerbahçe under the Bosman ruling, although the two clubs are negotiating a compensation fee.
Beschastnykh rose to prominence with Spartak and rejoined the club after his spells in Germany and Spain.

One of these goals came in the 2002 World Cup; Beschastnykh also played in the 1994 tournament, as well as in Euro 96.

Russia striker Vladimir Beschastnykh has joined Russian first division club FC Kuban Krasnodar from Fenerbahçe SK.
The 29-year-old Beschastnykh, who holds the record for most goals scored for the Russian national team, with 26 in 71 appearances, had been in negotiations with various Premier-Liga clubs, but instead chose to join Kuban, thus becoming the highest-profile signing in Russian first division history.
Kuban's general director, Vladimir Podobedov, said: "We still have not seen Beschastnykh play recently but the class of this player is known to everyone in Europe and for us securing his signature was more important than evaluating his fitness.
