The vocal percussion loops and effects are ripe for dance tracks and would make great additions to any basic rhythm track the Jazz samples are out of this world, moving from haunting, free-form phrasing and scats to group multi-samples that swing and sway with such class they just beg you to use them.
The vocal percussion loops are slick and I loved the fact that you aren't stuck with vocal loops locked at one tempo, destined to succumb to the chipmunk effect as soon as you change the tempo.
Vocal Planet is packed with some gorgeous sounding and performing samples - it covers almost everything that I could have hoped for in a library that attempts to squash a worldwide representation of vocal performances and styles onto six CDs.

This song was originally made popular in the mid 90's, and Diane Schuur recorded it with her Carribean Jazz Project on Schuur Fire.  My arrangement is sort of a combination of the two versions, with a good amount of new ideas thrown in, to fit the vocal jazz aesthetic.

Since twelve she has played harp with such proficiency that her skills have been utilized by some famous orchestras, when she has time away from solo performance, that is. Katarina Stenstrom has been singing since she was eight years old.
Subsequent recordings produced what some consider definitive versions of classic American jazz standards, as well as what became staples of the Real Group repertoire, such as "Chili Con Carne" and "Acappella in Acapulco." Their previous release, "One For All," saw the group focusing on original material, written in English.

The Janice Borla Vocal Jazz Camp, founded in 1989, provides a unique educational experience for aspiring jazz vocalists in an intensified, week-long course of study conducted by a staff of professional jazz artists.
