CANOE -- JAM! Music - Pop Encyclopedia - Images In Vogue
After touring and generating interest hot on the heels of the New Romantic synth invasion spawned by such acts as Duran Duran, Images In Vogue were signed to WEA Records.
Following an amicable split with WEA Records and a relocation to Toronto, the reconstituted band re-recorded the song 'In The House' for Quality Records which was accompanied by a 12" remix and video gaining them a strong foothold in Canadian dance clubs.
Anthem released the album in 1988 without 'Images In Vogue' written on the cover and the ambiguity of the words 'The Spell' led many to believe a change was in sight.

Vogue, a tribute to Hollywood celebs and diva's, became one of her biggest #1 hits, topping the charts for several weeks in the US (reaching double Platinum), UK, Canada and Japan.
Vogue was released only days before the launch of the Blond Ambition Tour so it got its performance premiere on tour.

En Vogue was a female vocal quartet from San Francisco: Cindy Herron, Dawn Robinson, Terry Ellis, and Maxine Jones.
Foster was working on a vocals-only version of the Smokey Robinson and the Miracles song "Who's Lovin' You" for En Vogue, but he and McElroy decided to write an answer song to it instead.
The intro is the same as the first verse of "Who's Lovin' You," which is a heartache song about a guy who breaks up with his girl and regrets it.

Vogue Discography - Section 6 (Miscellaneous)
The first style uses a solid-colored background with illustrations relating to the song at several places on the record, and a fl-and-white image of the artist.
The second style is very similar to what Sav-Way actually used in production; an image relating to the song that fills the entire background of the record, and a fl-and-white image of the artist.
As was common with the Vogues, it appears that different couplings of songs were used at times - as well as records that had an illustration on only one side.

Vogue (song) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The song was originally slated to be released as a B-side before becoming one of Madonna's biggest hits of the 1990s; and in turn became one of the biggest music hits in history.
After presenting the song to Warner Brothers Executives, all parties involved decided that the song was too good to be "wasted" on a B-side and should be released as a single.
Although the song itself has nothing to do with Madonna's then upcoming movie Dick Tracy, it was included on the album I'm Breathless which was inspired by the film.

Classic Tracks-En Vogue’s “My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)”
En Vogue had all the ingredients of the ultimate vocal group: four equally strong singers, all capable of singing lead, and all with distinct personalities to conjure many a young boy's fantasies.
After En Vogue hit Platinum with Born to Sing, recorded at Starlight Studios and Live Oak Studios in Berkeley, Calif., Foster and McElroy bumped things up a notch and brought the group to Fantasy Studios to record their follow-up.
“That song illustrated that there were four women in the group that could sing lead, as opposed to just Cindy and Terry, who were featured more prominently on their last album,” says Foster.
