		Volvo Cars, or Volvo Personvagnar, is a automobile maker that was founded in 1927 in the city of Gothenburg in Sweden.
		The Volvo design team invented both the 'safety cage' and 'crumple zone' concept, where passengers are protected in a strong, encircling frame and the energy of a crash is absorbed by destruction of the hood or trunk of the car.
		In the early 1970s Volvo acquired the car-making division of the Dutch company DAF, and marketed their small cars as Volvos before releasing the Dutch-built Volvo 340, which went on to be one of the biggest-selling cars in the UK market in the 1980s.

		Rob’s love for the Volvo marque and particularly PV544 started at an age of 18 when his father got the use of PV 544 Sport while the family 122S was in the garage for servicing.

		The easiest-to-notice is the new hub-caps with a red circular area in the middle with a V in the middle of that.

		Mike is an enthusiastic and skilled vintage racer and is usually seen racing his superfast formula V. He was intrigued by the advertisement of what sounded like quite a sorted race car.

		We have one, albeit one very hard-working and dedicated, service person, whereas others can actually say they have a "crew", it must be a whole different dynamic.
		It is always interesting when a conversation starts, "what are you driving?" The eyes usually glaze over when you reply, "Volvo PV544" but I guess "the Volvo" is just as accurate, there being only one.
		That said, we've had some great responses to the car, with a lot of people glad to see us back this year.
