Vorarlberg is the westernmost state (Land) of Austria.
Vorarlberg is divided into four large districts, from north to south: Bregenz, Dornbirn, Feldkirch and Bludenz.
The main rivers in Vorarlberg are the Ill (running through the Montafon and Walgau valleys into the Rhine), the Rhine (forming the border to Switzerland), the Bregenzer Ach and the Dornbirner Ach.

Vorarlberg is the most westerly province of Austria, the second smallest in both area (after Vienna) and population (after Burgenland).
It is bounded on the north (in the Bregenzer Wald) by Germany (Bavaria), on the west (along the Alpine Rhine) and south (Rätikon and Silvretta) by Switzerland, on the southwest by the Principality of Liechtenstein and on the east (Verwall group and Arlberg) by northern Tirol.

The charge in the arms of Vorarlberg is a gonfalon, also sometimes called a gonfannon (it is not clear if these are considered heraldically different or not as a charge - there are nuances of difference in the history of the flag type).
I note that the Vorarlberg device is described as "das Montfortische Banner", which I presume means that it is a banner version of Montfort arms.
The apparent blazon for arms giving rise to the gonfannon illustrated on the Vorarlberg shield would be Gules a bar gemel sable, which is not ascribed to any of the Montforts by Rietstap.

Two years ago, when I spent my final year at that school we ended being second best of Austria and I was topscorer of all teams of Austria at the final tournament in Feldkirchen in Carinthia.
In our club I play in the junior team, which plays in the junior league, in the Farmteam, which plays the Vorarlberg league and I also had the chance to play twice with the Lions which is our top team.
