Voulez-vous couchez avec moi is a bad pop song, and not a pick-up line, it is a proposition.
Well, for one thing, coucher is a transitive verb that means to put to bed, so "voulez-vous coucher avec moi?" is not intelligible French.
The song lyric story is clearly about a prostitute making a proposition to a client, which may account both for the 'vous' as well as for the lapse in perfect grammar.

While France released the song under it's french title as 'Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi', but in it's original album-mix, the dutch release features two unique remixes (a 7" and a 12"-version) and a unique megamix on the b-side (in the same two variations).
Both chose 'Lady Marmelade', one of the cover-versions on the 'Sabrina'-album, and issued a 7" and a 12" each, but the releases in both countries are very different nevertheless.
The rarest item today is the dutch CD single.

 Missing song titles
He said that it was a working title of a song that was being recorded for Voulez-Vous.
The notion that it should be a slower version of that song, might stem from some journalist hearing the edited out vocals/piano/strings introduction, unreleased at the time, and then this 'incident' being twisted into a myth about an unreleased track, à la the Opus 10 story.
At the end of the review, he listed a number of titles of unreleased songs that had been reported over the years, yet weren't mentioned in the book.

Amazon.com: Music: Super Trouper [Australia Bonus Tracks] [EXTRA TRACKS] [ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED]
If Voulez Vous was their disco album, the followup, Super Trouper, a slang term for the giant spotlights used in their live shows and stadia, maintained a sound consistent with winning albums like their self-titled effort and Arrival, but with the energy of Voulez Vous.
Like ARRIVAL, SUPER TROUPER does not have any weak tracks, and its best songs- the uplifting title track, the tearjerking "The Winner Takes It All" (ABBA's second best song of their career, for the record), the effervescent "On and On and On"- rank among the best songs of their time.
Even though SUPER TROUPER may not sound as fresh as that album, primarily because ABBA is noticeably focusing on craft here, it still has a set of songs that rivals that of ARRIVAL.

The Artistry of Nona Hendryx: Labelle
Pretty soon everybody was slaughtering the French language by repeating the chorus "Voulez Vous..." As much as this tune helped break LaBelle into the big time, eventually it became somewhat infuriating when the girls were stereotyped as a disco act because of it.
By 1974 the underground buzz around LaBelle had become a roar and they recorded their biggest selling album, "Nightbirds" which included one of the biggest dance songs ever, "Lady Marmalade." This song hit number one and in no time you could hear bratty pre-teens everywhere offending their parents by talking dirty in French.
The single "Far as we Felt Like Going," the worst song on the album but written by the Lady Marmalade team, failed.

This release (comprising songs drawn from the albums ABBA, Arrival, ABBA--The Album, and Voulez-Vous) covers the group's most inspired years (1975-1979) and every track is a winner.
The lyrics plumb no great depths of sophistication but the pop sensibility of the songs and performances of ABBA at their best has rarely if ever been bettered, and this album is the perfect demonstration of that.

Anni-Frid Lyngstad "Frida" Andersson Biography (ABBA)
Putting personal issues aside, ABBA continued performing, releasing the 1979 album Voulez-Vous, which spawned five British Top 5 hits and went gold in the U.S. Though 1980's Super Trouper sold and charted well internationally, it marked the end of their success in America.
After working on new material and changing their name to the palindromic, universal acronym "ABBA" (the initials of the members' first names), the group entered the 1974 Eurovision contest with the song "Waterloo." Like most of their material, the song was written in English and featured Faltskog and Lyngstad on lead vocals.
In 1981 Lyngstad and Andersson divorced; with the couples barely speaking to each other and disco in decline, ABBA called it quits in early 1982, after releasing their final album, The Visitors.

He said that it was a working title of a song that was being recorded for Voulez-Vous.
Given that 'Harry'/'Hurry' is the only working title we know of for 'I Am The City', it sounds plausible that it acquired a more "singable" transitory working title somewhere along the way.
Mark's book review then ended with this plea: "In the book, Carl Magnus clearly states that many facts have been forgotten by all those concerned and that many working titles were never written down on recording documents.

Five songs from VOULEZ-VOUS were hits, (only the 1975 ABBA album had more), so it's clear that ABBA were still in sync with the music scene at this point.
ABBA lip synched "Chiquitita" for the show, which was certainly a less than gutsy approach but because it was totally new song it was less noticeable.
One tends to forget that ABBA was just one of many established artists turning part time to disco and that many of the resulting songs were actually fairly good.

The Eurovision Song Contest served as a backdrop to their international ambitions and after Lyngstad's tentative entry in the qualifying Swedish heats as a soloist in 1971, the quartet, now known as Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid, attempted to represent their country with the infectious "Ring Ring" in 1973.
The marriage of Ulvaeus and Fältskog, followed later by that of Andersson and Lyngstad, had laid the romantic and musical foundations of the Abba concept.
