Part 1 - Context - Voyeurism as a Criminal Offence: A Consultation Paper   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-22)
The diagnostic criteria for voyeurism are: (a), recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges or behaviours involving voyeuristic activity, and (b), the fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviours cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning… Many individuals include voyeuristic fantasy or behaviour in a repertoire of sexual fantasies.
Voyeurism as a sexual disorder manifests early in life (the average age is 15), is chronic, and tends to last a lifetime, unless treated.
While voyeurism may be captured by section 177 (trespassing at night), the scope of the offence is quite narrow as it applies only to persons who loiter or prowl at night near a dwelling house on the property of another person.

Voyeurism: A stolen glance at film and photography throughout the last century
Voyeurism can be defined in many ways and if you were to extract the main principals out from it you would be left with a definition that states voyeurism is "To gain pleasure from looking, unbeknown to the subject".
A voyeur watches without consent from his subject although pleasure is still gained from watching with consent, which is to say he/she has the permission to watch but still watches unbeknown to the subject, for example at a strip club or a cinema.
Voyeurism has much diversity, especially in the mass media and through modern society, from the eighteen hundreds to the present day, from pornography to soap opera; there are many categories to delve into and many questions to be raised.

 Voyeurism Information on Healthline
Voyeurism is a psychosexual disorder in which a person derives sexual pleasure and gratification from looking at the naked bodies and genital organs or observing the sexual acts of others.
The object of voyeurism is to observe unsuspecting individuals who are naked, in the process of undressing or engaging in sexual acts.
In order for a condition to be labeled "voyeurism," the fantasies, urges, or behaviors to watch other persons must cause significant distress in the individual or be disruptive to his or her everyday functioning.

Voyeurism Consultation   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-22)
The issue of voyeurism was also the subject of previous resolutions passed at the Uniform Law Conference in 1996 and 2000.
It can also be treated as a sexual offence, given the purpose of the act (for example, the sexual arousal of the voyeur), or the nature of the subject observed (for example, viewing or recording the victim's sexual organs or the victim engaged in explicit sexual activity).
Voyeurism offences could be identified as dual procedure or hybrid offences.

 Free Essay Voyeurism In Hitchcock
Hitchcock uses voyeurism as a main theme in both of these masterpieces, and the voyeurism is connected in many surprising ways: it is evident in the careers of the male voyeurs, causes serious damage to their relationships, and changes from unauthorized looking into neighborliness.
A photographer is the epitome of a voyeur, as in the course of the job it is routine to peer into the life of something, whether it is a plant, an animal, or a person.
Yet another connection between the voyeurism in the two films is that even though voyeurism is supposed to cause damage to relationships with neighbors, it actually turns into caring for their fellow man. In other words, it actually turns into neighborliness.

PC World - Law May Curb Cell Phone Camera Use
The Video Voyeurism Prevention Act prohibits photographing or videotaping a naked person without his or her consent in any place where there can be "a reasonable expectation of privacy." Punishment would include fines of up to $100,000 or up to a year in prison, or both.
Some states have now enacted electronic voyeurism privacy laws, but the criminal code is still evolving across the country to protect people from the increasingly intrusive view of tiny camera lenses.
The road toward a federal video voyeurism law began with two cases, one in Louisiana and one in Washington state; in both, video technology was used to violate privacy.

Voyeurism, the medical term for repeated peeping, is under-reported, Kennedy said, because victims do not realize it is happening to them most of the time.
"It's like an addiction, and it's very difficult to treat." He said that a person diagnosed with voyeurism does not seek sexual activity but only wishes to look at another person, which is usually accompanied by masturbation.
Although arousal is an important element in voyeurism, the arousal which results from watching pornographic video tapes is a different experience because the actors and actresses in those movies are being observed willingly.

I call these sites "Voyeurism Sites" a bit tongue in cheek, but the moniker does describe what is going on.
Voyeurism sites seldom provide much information, if any, about their longhairs beyond a photograph.
Voyeurism sites tend to list longhairs the site owner finds attractive, while profile sites typically go beyond photographs to also list personal descriptions and contact information, and they tend to list all comers who are male and have hair of a requisite length.
