		In 1943 special permission was granted for her to become an "employee of the Reich" and she came to Vught as an Aufseherin.
		On May 17, 1944 the SS sent her to Ravensbruck with the evacuation train from Vught concentration camp.
		She continued her service until the liberation of Ravensbruck in April 1945, and returned to the Netherlands.

	Location of camps in Netherlands
		Two camps, transit camp Westerbork and concentration camp Vught, were used as transit centers for the deportation of Dutch Jews and Sinti to extermination centers in eastern Europe.
		Besides housing Jewish inmates, camp Vught was also used by the Nazis as penal camp for Dutch political prisoners and hostages.
		In contrast to the harsh treatment prisoners received in Amersfoort, Vught, and Ommen, Jewish inmates housed in camp Westerbork were treated less cruel to dull their senses with a faint hope to camouflage the reality of their forthcoming deportation and subsequent extermination in Poland.
