		As is expected for an A-Type W UMa, in both the V and R bands, the secondary minimum has a flat bottom, whereas the primary minimum has a rounded bottom; the maxima are also rounded.
		If this system truly is an A-type W UMa, as the shape of the light curve suggests, then it is an unusual system because it has an unusually long period for a star of this type, almost one day long (by definition W UMa stars have periods less than one day long).
		He did, however, indicate that there were very few W UMa systems with periods around one day detected in his studies, which, in part, could be a factor of the Earth's rotation limiting observations, but could also be an actual phenomena of these stars.

		It seems likely that UMA would be something you would have to add to your account as a paid-for service, but until a carrier actually offers UMA, the point is moot.
		It's known that T-Mobile has been testing UMA for while (T-Mobile -branded UMA handsets have been spotted), and I would have to believe that Cingular is testing it as well, but there's no word as to if or when UMA will actually roll out as a product offering.

	A Statistical Study of the O'Connell Effect of W UMa Binaries (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
		Many W UMa binaries exhibit the O'Connell effect, usually explained by spots on the surface which are responsible for variations in the intensity of the system.
		An attempt has been made to analyze these variations in each star by measuring the difference in integrated flux from the system for 0.0 to 0.5 phase vs. 0.5 to 1.0 phase.
		The eventual goal is to look at all W UMa's with good photometry to compare the degree of O'Connell effect with such parameters as degree of contact and mass ratio of the system.
