The WB Network is widely recognized as the first television network to capitalize on the trend toward increasingly fragmented television audiences.
The network was established as a direct result of changes in the television regulatory environment that year that allowed television networks to produce and syndicate more of their own programming.
The network was able to turn its slide around the following year, and for the first time in 2001, the network reached the coveted 5th place in ratings among overall TV households and in the 18-49 demographic.

The WB Television Network is a television network in the United States, founded by the Warner Bros. film studio and Tribune Company in January 1995.
WB's first programs were sitcoms and other cheap-to-produce fare; in 1995, WB also added the "Kids' WB" programming block, which mixed Warners' biggest hit shows (Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs and later Batman: The Animated Series, all of which originated either on Fox, Fox Kids or in syndication) with new productions and original shows.
The WB's breakout hits during the late 1990s were Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dawson's Creek in prime time, and the American version of Pokémon in the Kids' WB blocks, which they acquired from syndication (TV Tokyo) in 1998.

Talk:WB Television Network - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unless WB is very particular about it appearing in running text as "The WB Television Network" (and maybe even then, if we get clarification on the article-naming policy) then surely it ought to move to WB Television Network.
WB put the "The" in there as much bcz it's unnatural to include in the name as bcz "WB Network" standing alone sounds funny.
At 130,000 for "The WB Television Network" to 4,100 for "WB Television Network", I think the 'common names' guideline clearly prefers "The" more than the 'avoid "the" guideline' prefers without.

They carry just about everything that is seen on the full WB network, even the stuff that has been turned down (or put on hiatus) by local Canadian broadcasters.
WFFF borrows the WB network jingles, such as this one, to promote their "WB Hour." This is a short sample of "Oh What A Night" by Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and Vitamin C, based on the 1976 hit song "December 1963" also by Valli (minus Vitamin C).
The WB version speaks of 1993 instead, which happens to be about when the arrival of the WB network was announced.

The WB-type network, unstable states and evolution
It seems to me that if genetic algorithms are to be used to configure Turing networks (as Turing suggested, see Unorganized machines and the brain), then the unstable states – like any other property of the network – are likely to be functionally exploited by evolution.
A complete exploration of Turing networks (as he described them) should include a consideration of the functional advantages of the unstable states – as these make up 2 of the 4 possible B-type modifier conditions.
In addition, our WB-type networks, evolved using genetic algorithm selection, do contain unstable states, and so it is possible that their functional usefulness has been exploited by evolution.
