	WBUW - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		WBUW, channel 57, is an affiliate of The WB and serves south central Wisconsin, including Madison.
		The station is licenced to Janesville, Wisconsin and signed on the air as WJNW on April 26, 1989.
		WBUW has been confirmed as Madison's CW affiliate as of March 8, 2006, with UPN14 taking My Network TV and changing their name to My Madison TV.

		Today's Cap Times had an article in the Business section stating that it appeared WBUW would shut down and UPN 14 would be the new remaining Madison affiliate.
		Unless you've heard something different from 57, we have yet to learn which of us gets the affiliation and which of us gets to be an independent.
		There’s still a lot to be determined, but WBUW is the obvious choice because of our full over-the-air broadcast station.

	SBE Chapter 24 - Madison, WI
		The previous construction permit allowed WBUW to move their transmitter to the Madison Community Tower.
		With the new site, WBUW would be able to cover their entire city of license, Janesville, with a city grade signal.
		The FCC had granted a waiver to WBUW under the old construction permit that allowed them permission to not have to cover the far Southeast corner of Janesville with a city grade signal.

		ACME Communications Inc. has completed its purchase of Madison WB affiliate WBUW-TV for $5.6 million in cash, the company said Thursday.
		WBUW was formerly the Madison area UPN affiliate WHPN-TV.
		The station switched call letters and network affiliation after ACME agreed to acquire the company through a bankruptcy court auction earlier this year.
