While every rapper today scurries for street credibility, this monstrous trio have just made it more difficult for the hardest of hardcore rappers to believe themselves.
WC was actually an old label-mate of Ice Cube's, as well as a friend.
While Cube was bangin' out hits for N.W.A., WC was busy in the garage writing hip hop classics like "Pay Ya Dues" for himself and his world renowned dj, DJ Aladdin, cementing the formation of their duo, Low Profile.

He grew up around the corner from WC of Westside Connection and he attended Washington High School (aka Hip-Hop High), the alma mater of such West Coast rap luminaries as WC, Crazy Tunes of the Maad Circle, Yo-Yo, DJ Alladin, Sir Jinx, and more.
So yeah, he was pretty much bred to be a rapper, especially once his mother bought him turntables one Christmas shortly after his father (a coach) lost a battle with cancer.
This is certainly one rapper with enthusiasm to spare -- he's not in the game for the fame or riches (well, a brother does gotta eat!), but rather because he has a God-given gift and wants to grace the world with it.

Hip-hop is a fast-changing world: rappers and styles quickly disappear from fashion as quickly as they appeared, but WC has always stuck to his guns.
Funnily enough, even though WC has the backing of the giants Def Jam on this release, his beats are occasionally what let him down.
The album bounces along nicely with generally funky, head-noddable P-Funk typical of the Westcoast, and I need to say no more than WC is one of the tightest veterans left in the game: as his stellar flow and tough lyrics prove.

Miffed at being denied his props by his contemporaries despite what, for a rapper, is a long career spanning most of the '90s (including a stint with Ice Cube and Mack 10), WC has here awarded himself a Heisman Memorial Trophy (usually awarded to football stars, most notoriously to O.J. Simpson) for achievements in rap.

It is also believed that the C-walk was used as a warning, for example in the build-up to a robbery: The lookout would stand outside of the store and act as surveillance, while the robbers would await the signalthe C-walk.
Later, rapper WC would follow suit and add to its popularity; however, he clearly let the public know that this was not a dance, as "gangstas don't dance", and that it was only meant to show love to other Crip members.
Although the C-Walk has found mainstream appeal, Snoop Dogg rapped on a remix of fellow Crip WC's single "The Streets" that it is for Crip members exclusively.
