	WCLT Education
		WCLT publishes a periodic newsletter with updates on its stewardship and land acquisition activities, educational programs, and articles of general environmental interest.
		WCLT volunteers expose children to the wonders of nature through walks, talks, and specific activities tailored for organized groups, such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
		WCLT volunteers staffed many of the Biodiversity Teams that chronicled the biodiversity of plants and animals in the Westborough area during the Biodiversity Surveys sponsored by the Massachusetts Division of Environmental Affairs.

		WCLT is a nonprofit organization created to protect essential open spaces and to help preserve open lands for future generations.
		WCLT will manage the property, post the property, develop and maintain trails, monitor the land for problems, and take responsibility for clean-up and dealing with unwanted activities.

	WCLT Partners
		WCLT is a member of the Land Trust Alliance (LTA), a nonprofit organization that assists land trusts and conservation organizations through conferences, workshops, field services, grants, research, publications, and an internet library.
		WCLT participates in the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition (MLTC), an informal association of Massachusetts land trusts and conservation organizations.
		WCLT is working with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation Division of Water Supply Protection (the former MDC) to manage and expand the trails on over a thousand acres of land in Westborough and to monitor the health and well being of these properties.

		To date WCLT has preserved more than 100 acres of land and acts as stewards for close to 300 acres in Westborough.

		The Thunder girls and the WCLT Tigers hooked up for the third time this season with the Tigers posting their third win of the season over TRV, 7-0 in the championship game of the North Star Conference tournament July 6 in Livermore.
		WCLT scored three more in the sixth and added one in the seventh.
		WCLT ace pitcher Megan Swingen struck out 14 TRV batters.

	CITY OF WOODBURY, MINNESOTA
		The WCLT has indicated that they have two qualified buyers which will be able to close on the units shortly after the WCLT buys them from Duffy, and they expect to be able to sell all of the units within a three to six month timeframe.
		The WCLT has been in touch with the various funders to request a waiver of the affordability requirements in the event of a foreclosure due to the WCLT not being able to sell the units.
		The funding from the Met Council is a bit different in that the grant is technically structured as a grant to the City of Woodbury, not the WCLT, so we are responsible for adhering to the conditions in the grant agreement including the affordability restrictions.

		The WCLT is seeking formal approval from the City Council for the waiver of the building permit fees and water and sewer connection charges in order to make the project work from a cash flow perspective.
		The Council has also given conceptual approval in the past for the waiver of building permit and connection fees, as part of the grant proposals that were submitted to the Metropolitan Council and the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.
		The WCLT has received Fannie Mae approval for their organization and is awaiting approval of the project.

		As can be seen from the map to the left, this area is a jumble of land protected by the state, the town, and WCLT, intermingled with private land.
		On the way into the property from the Haskell Street ball field, the trail follows a long, narrow ridge called an esker formed by deposits from a stream that flowed under a decaying glacier long ago.
