WEPN - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
WEPN, more commonly known as 1050 ESPN Radio, is a round the clock all-sports talk station in New York City featuring national and local sports programming.
It cannot be heard clearly in many parts of the New York metropolitan area, especially west of New York City and in Suffolk County on Long Island.
The station was renamed WEPN on April 28, 2003 after being sold to ABC/Disney outright, which continues to run the station as 1050 ESPN Radio.

WEPN (Web Evaluation Path Navigator) is used at both capture and analysis phases of the evaluation.
In contrast, during the analysis stage, WEPN provides a visualisation tool to support the usability engineers in their analysis of the data recorded and annotated.
WEPN also allows for four independent video captures of the end-user interaction, as opposed to MORAE, which allows for fixed inputs of a desktop-screen capture and one video capture.

The four videos are independently recorded in separate mini DV camcorders, and transferred to hard disk on the analysis machine after the test.
WEPN includes a synchronization process in which the analyst synchronizes the four videos with the log file.
Once all the files are on hard disk and within the WEPN system, the analyst can randomly access any part of the test instantly, or move through the test much faster than real time, as needed.

 Media Curmudgeon: Listening For Motivations
WFAN and WEPN are in a fierce battle for sports listeners in New York, a battle that WFAN is winning.
But you know that the WFAN personalities and programming people listen to WEPN and to Michael Kay, the biggest personality on the local station, on in afternoon drive time (other programs such as "Mike and Mike in the Morning," Colin Cowherd and Dan Patrick come from the ESPN Radio network).
I also believe that Selana Roberts is a pretty good, honest sports columnist and I'd link to her column, but it's behind the stupid NY Times firewall and you have to be a Times subscriber or pay $49 a year to read it.

Even if the stations were sold, WPLJ and WABC wouldn't necessarily change, since both are nicely profitable where they are.
