  WFIU: History
WFIU restricts its broadcast to hours when TV is not broadcasting and works with RCA to install local TV sets with "wave traps" to block the far stronger WFIU signal.
Produced by WFIU and the IU Center for Music Broadcasting in conjunction with the IU School of Music, the series is distributed to nine stations in a three_state area (Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan).
WFIU broadcasts 24 hours a day, with a signal strength from Bloomington that covers south_central Indiana, and reaches an average of about 40,000 listeners weekly.

WFIU: Public Radio from Indiana University: A History of Service
WFIU developed a Community Advisory Board in 1989 as a means for station management to gauge public sentiment in programming and public service, and in the spring of 1991, the station inaugurated an annual “off-air” activity specifically aimed at serving a demographic largely made up of citizens not reached by the station’s on-air broadcast...
WFIU sought to encourage and enliven the creative impulse within the youngsters throughout the listening area with an art contest—an ideal type of contest, given radio’s long-held distinction as “The Theater of the Mind.” With the help of art teachers throughout the listening area, the response to the first call-for-entries was tremendous.
WFIU’s growth in maturing from clumsy ill-equipped beginnings to its present sophistication of performance and presentation is almost miraculous.” As WFIU moves past its first half-century, it looks forward to yet another 50 years of service to the University and community.

I think WFIU is predominantly classical, don't make them angry.
While they are a PBS radio affliate, but I know if the Indiana University staff would believe that WFIU plays little classical music, however the station angrily denied that claim.
I would call Hindemith's music, "jazz" as they played it, but then the station will be angry again, what I said about the composer on Wiki.
