WHO was established by the UN on April 7, 1948.
WHO is nearing success in developing vaccines against malaria and schistosomiasis and aims to eradicate polio within the next few years.
The country office is headed by a WHO Representative (WR), who is not a national of that country, and who holds ranks, and due privileges, similar to those of a Head of Diplomatic Mission or an Ambassador.

Also in 1979, The Who released a documentary film called The Kids Are Alright and a film version of Quadrophenia, the latter becoming a huge box office hit in the UK and the former becoming something of a holy grail for Who fans and a summation of the band's Keith Moon era.
Jones's membership occurred during The Who's most prolonged period of inactivity (after their 1982 "split up", their only public performances were at the Live Aid concert in 1985 and a one-off appearance on British TV in 1988).
The music of The Who is still performed in public by many tribute bands, such as The OHM, The Who Show, and The Wholigans in the USA and Who's Next and Who's Who in the UK.

Berserks are human warriors from the North who forego conventional armor for the sake of speed.
Their society seems to be structured around their belief that their god, who resides in the air, is strengthened by the escaping breath of the beings they sacrifice and will one day grow powerful enough to spirit away their enemies - most notably the fir'Bolg, with whom they have sparred for centuries.
Humans who had fought alongside them had come to rely on the fir'bolg ability to attack opponents from a distance, and human militias soon drummed up their own groups of bowmen.

 THE SAM DEHNE STORY
He spent 5 years flying B-52 bombers in the Air Force before becoming a pilot with Pan American World Airways in 1967; while also flying RF-101 and RF-4 fighters in the Nevada Air National Guard.
But alas, Pan Am was "blown" out of business in late 1991 after the dastardly terrorist bombing of flight 103 over Lockerbie in 1989.
Sam's flying career came to an end shortly after the horrific and sad demise of America's beloved Pan Am.
