The WIYN Observatory has a video system that carries 10 channels of information that is viewed on a standard video monitor.
The WIYN Video Router is a box that has 10 video inputs on one side, and 10 video outputs on the other.

In August, Catherine Pilachowski came to IU from the WIYN Observatory to become professor of astronomy and holder of the Kirkwood Chair of astronomy.
The Kirkwood Observatory was built in 1900, and plans to honor its 100th anniversary include the current sprucing.
The Kirkwood Chair, the observatory and the avenue east of the Old Crescent area of the Bloomington campus all are named for Daniel Kirkwood, the most distinguished astronomer to be associated with IU.

The WIYN Arcon-IRAF Interface document is a users guide to direct imaging using the Harcon controller at WIYN through an IRAF interface.

The new galaxy is so widespread and transparent that astronomers did not suspect its existence until they mapped the velocity of stars thought to belong to the well-known and nearby large Andromeda spiral galaxy and found them to move independently of Andromeda.
