		WNYA's main signal is broadcast on channel 51 and is licenced to and transmits from Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
		WNYA can be seen in the western part of the Springfield, Massachusetts TV market, however the Berkshire Mountains and a barely passable spacing to WZMY from Derry, New Hampshire, which has a repeater, W18AE, channel 18, in Killington, VT, interfere with the signal.
		Ironically, nowhere in WNYA's county of licence of Berkshire County is WNYA on channel 4 and in the northernmost part of that county, an actual channel 4 (WBZ-TV) carries that spot on the Adelphia/to be Time Warner system out of North Adams.

		Another Albany TV station has a transmitter located in Hancock, MA atop Berry Hill, that is WNYA UHF-51, licensed to Pittsfield, MA, and is programmed by WRGB in Schenectady, NY.
		WEWB changed it’s call letters and became WCWN, and was the new CW affiliate, whereas WNYA had to give up it’s affiliation with UPN and became part of a new network called “MY TV.” So far, the network carries two nightly soap operas, and a few college sports games.
		The remainder of WNYA’s programming are syndicated shows, typical of an independent station.

		Now that WNYA Pittsfield (channel 51) is on the air, I was wondering: 1.
		(I notice the Pittsfield system carries WNYA on channel 8, so the answer here is obviously 'yes'.) I know Albany area systems are replacing the cable-only UPN feed with 51, but I would think systems west of Springfield would carry a Pittsfield UPN station instead of a Boston (38) or New Haven (59) one.
		Or maybe, given the recent "38 superstation" thread, they'll continue carrying 38.

		The merger is a good-news story provided you're not Fox Broadcasting (which lost UPN affiliations in major markets like New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles), the Fox Network (which now faces theoretically stronger competition for younger viewers), or a UPN affiliate like the Capital Region's WNYA Ch.
		Also on the hook, somewhat ironically, is CBS affiliate WRGB Ch.
