WPP said on Monday that if it acquires Tempus, the total cost of the purchase will be £385 million, including what it has spent on the shares it already acquired.
Shares in WPP (WPP), which have fallen about 25 percent this year,  edged up 0.1 percent to 664 pence, while Tempus (TSG) was off 0.4 percent at 585 pence in midday trade in London.
Still, WPP said it was on track to meet its operating margin targets of 15 percent in 2001 and 15.5 percent in 2002.
