The Daily Princetonian - Live from Bloomberg: A day in the life of WPRB
WPRB is one of the last entirely student-run FM radio stations, and the oldest University FM station in the country.
WPRB has stayed true to form since 1940, when its first broadcasts were cast by a single student (Grant Theis), in Pyne, through the building's electrical wiring (which he employed as a radio transmitter).
Though every show on WPRB is to some degree (in that they give listeners a chance to hear music that they would have to dig up themselves to hear otherwise) Monson is digging across oceans for her show's offerings.

 WPRB,
WPRB, undergraduate radio station, first known as WPRU, was founded in 1940, just twenty years after public broadcasting was introduced in the United States by Station KDKA in Pittsburgh.
In 1960 -- its twentieth anniversary year -- WPRB asked the Federal Communications Commission for authority to increase its power from 250 watts to 1,000 on the frequency it was using.
WPRB applied, and when the application was granted, it borrowed $10,000 for equipment, and became one of the most powerful FM stations in New Jersey.

UW classified staff include (1) WPRB classified personnel whose classifications and salary schedules are governed by the Washington Public Resources Board (WPRB), and (2) contract-classified personnel who are members of collective bargaining units under the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC).
In the 1999-2001 biennium the legislature provided funding to bring classified salary ranges under the jurisdiction of the WPRB to within 25% of the prevailing rate as found in the 1998 Statewide Salary Survey.

Write "WPRB" on the Cd face and all over the artwork with magic marker to avoid the rare case of theft.
For Cds that are not new releases [either things that WPRB has purchased to fill gaps in the rock library or things that were released a long time ago but only added recently], put a red sticker on the spine and indicate the original release year on the "title/date" sticker on the Cd booklet.

WPRB was chosen for its proximity to ATandT's development facility in Murray Hill, NJ, and its worst-case spectrum position, with relatively strong signals in both of its first-adjacent channels.

The grounded-grid design of the 10kW FM transmitter used at WPRB may have contributed to this unexpected result, according to Amati engineers.
