First live network transmission of TV pictures from inside a manned U.S. space capsule in orbit: Apollo 7 There were six such broadcasts during their eleven-day mission.
First TV pictures transmitted from a manned U.S. space capsule, astronaut Gordon Cooper's "Faith 7." Because the picture quality is poor, only NBC carries the transmission, and on tape-delay, not live.
This was not actually the first trans-Atlantic TV, as the BBC and German TV were received in the 1930s in Long Island and perhaps elsewhere in the U. July 23, 1962.

WVET(AM) became WROC(AM), and Veterans sold its half of channel 10 to Gannett, which then owned WHEC 1460 and the WHEC-TV half of channel 10.
The channel 17 facility was given to educational TV and became WNED-TV.
None was ever activated, but those allocations were later used for public TV in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Doctor's move to WCBS apparently means the end of Joel Cheatwood's stint as news director at the perenially ratings-challenged channel 2.

 Nexstar, Sinclair Ink Shared Sales Deal
Nexstar Broadcasting Group and Sinclair Broadcast Group announced Monday the two companies have entered into a joint sales and shared services agreement for their respective stations in Rochester, N.Y. Through the agreement, WROC-TV, Nexstar’s CBS affiliate, will provide sales and other non-programming services to WUHF-TV, Sinclair’s Fox affiliate in the market.
Sinclair, which has been pushing for the government to allow TV groups to own more duopolies, especially in smaller and mid-size markets, said it had no other choice but to partner with another group.
The JSA will allow the two TV companies to combine certain operations, eliminate duplicative costs, and leverage the relationship with local advertisers.

Considering that KTAL, a Nexstar owned station in another market recently unveiled new graphics and that their previous graphics were identical to WROC's I would say that there is a high likelihood that WROC will be picking up the new graphics package.
This is pure speculation but I have a strong hunch that WROC may have something extra special planned for next week.
