		WSB AM ("NewsTalk 750") is a clear channel AM radio station in the city of Atlanta, Georgia with a frequency of 750 kHz.
		WSB was the first radio station in the South, and the callsign means "Welcome South, Brother." The station was founded by the Atlanta Journal.
		WSB was the origin of the trademark three-tone NBC chimes.

		WSB was at it's most popular when Moto GP were racing 500cc 2 strokes and we could all relate more to the big twins and 750cc GSXR's etc. When Moto GP switched to 4 stroke 1000cc bikes WSB became a bit of an irrelevance.
		But even back then when WSB was at it's most popular, 500cc was also very popular, maybe just not in North America...
		The 999 is a disaster and if they want to win WSB which is important for them then they need the V4 on the grid.

		December 1, 2005, the annual AIR (Achievement in Radio) awards banquet gave its Lifetime Achievement award to WSB Sports Legend Larry Munson and honored the life and career of the late Elmo Ellis.
		Elmo Ellis looked at this "hopeless" situation and in a position paper that became MUST reading throughout the radio industry in 1952, he said it was time to "remove the rust" from radio.
		Ellis boldly stripped WSB of its half hour programs, replacing them with a constant stream of music, news and information.

		Fastest of the bunch (times from Pirelli) was Lorenzo Lanzi, the new kid on the Xerox Ducati with a 1-35.7 but he was chased home by battle-scarred Troy Bayliss, making his return to WSB after three years in MotoGP.
		Bayliss, who smashed his left wrist in a dirt bike training accident, hadn't been on a race track for a while (or Pirelli tyres or a Ducati twin) but he was second fastest with a 1-36.1.

		Perennial local ratings leader WSB-TV got a boost from the recent prime-time successes of affiliated network ABC, which had a ratings bonanza with new hits "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost."
		Still, even without help from ABC's prime-time programming, WSB often gets better ratings than its parent network in certain parts of the day, and it certainly outpaces its local news rivals.
