Pro Wrestling Insider - Pro Wrestling News Inside & Out
For the past few years, WWE has held a "draft lottery" and trades between the Raw and Smackdown brands to freshen up the rosters and allow for new matches and storylines.
While it was originally expected that WWE would continue this pattern in 2006, things have been strangely quiet where any swapping of talent is concerned.
Of course, there is still plenty of time for WWE to decide they want to hold a draft lottery, either on the usual large scale, or a smaller version where only a few pieces of talent are swapped, which leads to today's poll question:

Although no firm date is set, the draft is scheduled to go down after the Judgment Day pay-per-view later this month, which means it will likely be held either on the May 23 edition of Raw in Wisconsin or the May 30 Raw show at the 'Dome.
There are rumours the draft may be broken up over several weeks of TV tapings but based on WWE's touring schedule, it looks like Calgary's chances of being the sole host city are still strong.
The odds of the draft taking place that night are now minimal, as John Cena, Kurt Angle and the rest of the Smackdown crew wouldn't be available to take part.

No Plans For WWE Draft Lottery This Year?
According to strong sources within WWE, there has been no formal discussions about holding a "Draft Lottery" for the RAW and SmackDown brands this year.
It is possible it could still take place down the line, but as of now there have been no plans set forth for it to take place and some sources have said it isn't even on the radar of what the company has planned for the next few months.
Although plans are always set to change, if WWE does end up doing a draft lottery, it doesn't appear that they will have big names jumping from brand to brand like they did with last year's involving names like John Cena, Batista, Kurt Angle and others.
