  Arundel - Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT)
Arundel Wetland Centre has 26 hectares of naturalised landscapes and wetland habitats holding many hundreds of exotic wildfowl from around the world.
Set in ancient woodlands in the middle of the South Downs; adjacent to the River Arun; overlooked by the historic Arundel Castle skyline the centre also attracts many wild birds to the lakes, reed beds and woodland areas on the site.

Thomas Arundel (1353 - 1413) was Archbishop of Canterbury in 1397 and from 1399 until his death, an outspoken opponent of the Lollard s.
A younger son of Richard Fitzalan, 10th Earl of Arundel, he held the title of Archbishop of York from 1388 before being moved to Canterbury.
However, he was exiled by King Richard II of England, and his tenure was interrupted by that of Roger Walden.
