WXIX never told its viewers the report, presented by fake reporter Kelly Brown, was funded by the dairy industry, nor, despite apologizing to ME, has it, to my knowledge, run an on-air apology to its viewers.
The new data shows that WXIX was not the only FOX affiliate to run "news" reported by Kelly Brown.
Here are some of the other local channels which broke the rules of Journalism ethics and should never be trusted by their viewers again.

On March 2, 1998, the Malrite owned TV station WXIX, serving greater Cincinnati, began broadcasting digital signals on channel 29, making the station the first full-time DTV facility in the U.S. WXIX's NTSC (analog) channel is UHF 19.
Although WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas preceeded WXIX by three days in initiating digital transmission, WFAA had to turn its transmitter off because of interference to nearby hospital equipment.
WXIX programming will consist of high-resolution "High Definition" TV signals of superior sharpness than currently available even on "VGA" quality computer monitors.

Since he created "The Advisor" character with Bob Hersh, he asked him if he would come to WXIX to host mystery films on Friday and Saturday nights.
WXIX broadcast out of a 10'x12' studio atop the Schroeder Hotel in downtown Milwaukee, and utilized a single, fixed camera, which limited what one could do.

The WXIX camera showed the truck veering off I-275 at the Hillsboro exit and speeding east on U.S. At several spots when traffic stalled, the truck driver sped around other cars and used an emergency lane to continue to elude police.
The truck headed several miles down U.S. 50, then turned toward the Clermont County Airport, where it struck another vehicle.
A WXIX announcer described the truck driver as a white man, about 6 feet tall.

As part of it's 10 pm news, the local Fox channel in Cincinnati broadcast a medical report with "experts" in doctor's clothes telling people to add more milk products to their diet because eating more cheese, yogurt and butter can help them lose weight.
Maybe not when you consider that it was obviously a "news" segment produced by the dairy industry and offered for free to any local news station that would run it.
I happen to be in Ohio and I was flipping channels and saw this and it made my blood boil.

In fact, the study being touted in the dairy VNR, which claimed that dieters who did not reduce the intake of milk products lost more weight than those who did reduct milk consumption, was itself funded by the National Dairy Council.

Don't know Doc, I didn't have much luck communicating with WXIX or Fox either.
Sure, I would like to see them fix the problem, but mainly I was just looking for some kind of explanation/info from them as to what was going on...all in all, it seemed about as useful as pounding sand.
I contacted the station a couple of weeks ago about the HD pass through recently, and they said it was a equipment problem, so they are probably still working out the bugs.

If I aim it about 6 degrees or so West of their tower, the meter goes lower but then I get a perfect lock.
Especially since it's right on the same heading as WXIX from my location.
Unfortuently, I can't really see it through WXIX-DT's digital snow, or get an indication of a "pipeline" from Somerset area into here, as they are the only Somerset station I know of, except for their Digital, WKSO-DT which is unfortunetly on 14 as is local WPTO 14 Oxford analog.
