Topic: Waheguru

Waheguru - SikhiWiki, free Sikh encyclopedia.   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-03)
God has many names in Sikhism and Waheguru is probably the most important and the most common.
WAHEGURU or Vahiguru also spelt and pronounced Vahguru, is the distinctive name of the Supreme Being in the Sikh dispensation, like YHWH in Judaism and Allah in Islam.
In Sikh Scripture, the Guru Granth Sahib, the term does not figure in the compositions of the Gurus, though it occurs therein, both as Vahiguru and Vahguru, in the hymns of Bhatt Gayand, the bard contemporary with Guru Arjan, Nanak V (1553-1606), and also in the Varan of Bhai Gurdas.

Ardās - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Taking the various derivation of the word Ardas into account, the basic purpose of this prayer is an appeal to Waheguru for his protection and care, as well as being a plea for the welfare and prosperity of all mankind, and a means for the Sikhs to thank Waheguru for all that he has done.
The Ardās is said as a reflection on everything it took for the Divine to create the pure Shabad Guru on earth and to remember all that the Sikh endured to protect it and ensure it landed in the hands of the future generation.
At the completion of ardas, the congregation bows down as one and places their foreheads on the floor to symbolize the fact that they will go as low as necessary to support Waheguru and all that He stands for; in essence, they are placing themselves as the servants of God.

Mazzella moved, inter alia, for summary judgment dismissing the complaint and all cross claims insofar as asserted against him and for summary judgment on his cross claim against Waheguru for contractual indemnification.

Waheguru kay mantar bin japai aur koee jaap.
Many faithless Sikhs expressed doubt saying that the mantar ‘Waheguru’, was bestowed to the Gursikh by the tenth Master Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and this Gurmantar was not in vogue during the time of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
An even bigger proof that ‘Waheguru’ is the gurmantar is that Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth incarnation of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was himself present and he himself gave the Vaars (compilations) of Bhai Gurdas Ji the status of a key to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Thats why I don't consider allah as the same as waheguru, because according to muslims there religion is the direct word of allah and within their religion it teaches hatred towards non believers, contradictions, and other moral and ethically descrepencies.
But Waheguru is without error he/she sees everybody in one light and he/she is perfect.
But if muslims claim that the koran is the word of Allah then allah is the opposite of Waheguru, because there are contradictions in the religion that means he is not perfect, there is hatred towards non muslims, he doesn't consider kafirs as equals to muslims.
