Shoalhaven River, Nowra, Bridge Crossing Feasibility Study - 25/06/2003 - PRIV
Growth and development pressure on the South Coast require that we plan for the long term and not wait for the crises that are inevitable when transport infrastructure facilities are not addressed by government.
On his whirlwind visit to the South Coast, the Minister correctly identified that the feasibility study he promised would be the first stage of addressing the river crossings.
I have great sympathy for the residents of the South Coast and, in particular, those who need to use the bridges crossing the Shoalhaven River.

 Invasion of Russia
When the Russian armies were seen, nearly one hundred and twenty thousand men, marching across the right bank of the Dnieper River, Napoleon hoped their intent was to deploy their forces beneath the city's walls to wage the battle so long awaited.
It seemed prudent to consolidate his forces here behind the river lines of the Dvina and the Dnieper, to wait out the winter while he made ready for a new campaign in 1813.
On 14 December Marshal Ney led the troops over the frontier at Kovno, crossing the Niemen River that the Grand Army had poured across in three long impressive columns six months before.

Heavy rain did little to dampen our spirits and after a rather long wait three heads appeared at the top of a fruiting tree.
Red-legged Honeycreepers, Collared Trogons and Golden-olive Woodpeckers showed very well and eventually there it was, a superb male White-tailed Sabrewing which perched for just long enough for some of the group to see it.

MHS Transactions: "Destined to Raise Her Caste": Sarah Ballenden and the Foss-Pelly Scandal
[5] Because of the warring factions, Red River became such an uncomfortable abode that one Chief Factor declared he could not wait to leave:
The monotonous routine of life not only in Red River but in the fur trade at large, especially during the long winter months, may help to explain why the affairs of one's contemporaries were of such all-absorbing interest.
That the social climate of Red River was such as to allow gossip to be used as an instrument of revenge is illustrated in a minor scandal which in view of the subsequent events of the Foss-Pelly scandal should be kept in mind.

Review - John Washburn: Stumbling Still Warm...
Stumbling Sill Warm caught my attention with "Wait (A River Song)" and "It's Alright," two songs that bring me right back to the days when I followed Steve Goodman, John Prine and Bonnie Koloc as they sparked the Chicago folk renaissance of the 1970's.
I've long been a fan of singer-songwriters, and John Washburn tells a story like many I've heard before, but they sound new.
To me, that's a hallmark of an exceptional singer-songwriter, and John's got the gift of words and song with a touch of Americana thrown in.
