On October 1, 2004 the towns of Hawai and Togo and the village of Tomari (all from Tohaku District) merged to form the new town of Yurihama.
On November 1, 2004 the municipalities of Fukube and Kokufu (from Iwami District), Aoya, Ketaka and Shikano (from Ketaka District) and Kawahara, Mochigase and Saji (from Yazu District) merged into the city of Tottori.
On October 1, 2005 the towns of Daiei and Hojo from Tohaku District merged to form the new town of Hokuei.

I’m not huge into hip-hop, but this was apparently a very cool event — one of the few of its kind in Tottori.

Today I had the great fortune of receiving a box full of Christmas.
Arriving in Wakasa a mere 5 days after it was sent, it was a big, heavy, box of pure joy for me. The spring in my step nearly caused me to lose my footing on the ice, but the Christmas spirit kept me on my feet!
