Walden was a town in Ontario, Canada, which existed from 1973 to 2000.
The name "Walden" was chosen as an acronym of the geographic townships of WAters, Louise and DENnison.
On January 1, 2001, the town and the Regional Municipality were dissolved and amalgamated into the city of Greater Sudbury.

My intention was to document the location of the rare lake quillwort - Isoetes macrospora - last seen in the pond in 1967 and found washed up on the shore after a storm in 1986.
The predominant fish I saw at Walden was the smallmouth bass.
