	Wallonia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Wallonia (French: Wallonie, German: Wallonien, Walloon: Walonreye, Dutch: Wallonië) or the Walloon Region (French: Région Wallonne, Dutch: Waals Gewest) is the predominantly French-speaking region that constitutes one of the three federal regions of Belgium, with its capital at Namur.
		Walloon and Picard dialects used to be the predominant languages of the Walloon people until the beginning of the 20th century; French was the language of the upper class.
		Walloon Region is one of the three regions (southern region, mainly French-speaking, with a population of 3,360,000), the two other regions being the Flemish Region (northern region, mainly Dutch-speaking, with a population of 5,900,000) and the Brussels-Capital Region (officially bilingual French/Dutch but mainly French-speaking, with a population of 980,000).

	Belgian Region To Sue Ryanair If No Refund
		Belgium's Walloon region will have to take Irish no-frills airline Ryanair to court if the carrier does not pay back illegally granted state aid, a regional minister said on Wednesday.
		Walloon Transport Minister Andre Antoine told a news conference the region sent a letter to Ryanair last week reclaiming EUR3.9 million (USD$4.8 million) in subsidies relating to its hub at state-owned Charleroi Airport.
		Antoine said that if Ryanair were to pull out its activities from the Charleroi hub "in an important way", the region could seek to reclaim all of the state aid granted to it.
