The studio is currently the second largest provider of prime time TV programming, behind only Warner Bros. In 1995, the Walt Disney Company bought out ABC, the television network which first televised The Wonderful World of Disney.
A recent addition to the studio is a large, eccentric, brick and glass building, which faces the main studio gate on the north side of the Disney Studios (at Alameda and Lincoln).
The studio is bordered by Buena Vista Street on the west, Keystone on the east, Alameda Avenue on the north, and Riverside Drive on the south.

The Walt Disney Studios Park, known as Parc Walt Disney Studios in France, is one of two theme parks in the Disneyland Resort Paris.
Before the Euro Disney Resort (as the Disneyland Resort Paris was known as until 1995) opened, plans were already in place for a European park in the style of the Disney-MGM Studios, but after Euro Disneyland (the original name for Disneyland Park) failed to impress, plans for the Disney-MGM Studios Paris were immediately cancelled.
It was traditional for a period of time for Walt Disney Feature Animation to have a satellite animation studio at each of the company's resorts, but the Paris studio was located in Montreuil, at the city limits of Paris and was never associated with the park.
