Therefore a article on someone who has been a statewide nominee of a major political party is article-worthy in a way that the incumbent mayor of, say, Walterhill, Tennessee or Inez, Kentucky is not.
The lead singer for a band which has had albums released by national record companies is article-worthy; the lead singer of my favorite bar band is not, unless he used to be with, say, UB40.
