  Walworth County
Walworth County departed Little Creek on 17 January 1962, embarked marines at Morehead City, and headed for Guantanamo Bay to participate in Operation "Springboard 62." The ship made calls at several Caribbean ports and then disembarked the marines at Morehead City on 1 March.
Walworth County returned to the United States on 2 August, underwent a period of training and upkeep, and then spent the final weeks of August on a midshipman cruise and taking on board dependents of the crew for a day at sea.
In May of 1972, Walworth County was scheduled for transfer to the Maritime Administration and layup at Suisun Bay, Calif.; but she served with the Military Sealift Command from May 1972 until stricken from the Navy list on 1 November 1973.

Walworth County and several towns, cities, and villages worked closely together during 2004 to develop a cooperative process for producing comprehensive plans for the County and each participating local government, with assistance from SEWRPC.
Each town, city, and village was asked to notify Walworth County by June 1, 2005, whether it wished to be included in a 2006 grant application and, if so, if it also wished to self-fund its participation in a joint planning program if a grant is not awarded in 2006.
Walworth County and 20 local governments, including two cities, 15 towns, and three villages, plan to submit an application for comprehensive planning grant funds to the Wisconsin Department of Administration.

Alan Walworth, who deposited his Ph.D. dissertation in July 1997 and has been a post doctoral fellow in the English department this past year, is leaving Illinois this fall for The College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio.
Walworth received a B.F.A. from New York University in 1981 and studied acting at Juilliard and the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York.
Walworth’s dissertation, "Displacing Desires in Early Modern Drama," was directed by Neely with a committee consisting of Professors Richard Wheeler and Shapiro.

Before 1750 the Walworth area was largely rural with a few houses along the Walworth road and near St. Thomas Watering (the site of the Thomas à Becket public house) which was also the site of the North Surrey gallows.
By 1850, however, the area was largely built over and in 1902 one writer described the area as "one of the poorest and most densely populated districts in London".
Students began to come to Walworth for this purpose even before the house was built and they lived in the presbytery.

He has a great write-up in " The History of Walworth Co" Pg 1310-1312.The Coon family came from the McCoons ofAberdeen,Scotland.He married Harriet Crumb who was of English descent He had taught school some and also was very intereded in the SDB Church.
