The cities of Lake Geneva and Whitewater, the villages of Darien, East Troy, Fontana, and Walworth, and all of the towns except Bloomfield have agreed to join Walworth County to submit a grant application and participate in a cooperative planning process under a grant.
The towns of Darien, Delavan, East Troy, LaFayette, LaGrange, Sharon, Spring Prairie, Sugar Creek, Walworth, and Whitewater have adopted resolutions to fund participation in a cooperative planning process with the County and SEWRPC if a grant is not awarded in 2006.

Back in the 1970s, when Old Town was new, it was one of my favorite spots in town to eat.
February is not the best month for tomatoes, but Old Town's version, with chopped onions and cucumbers, crumbled goat cheese and a garlic-olive oil dressing, was so good we left little on the plate.
Not to be missed are Old Town's delicate little hand-formed sausages called cevapcici, which are served on a bed of diced onions.

A cold front was approaching Wisconsin from the west, and mid and low-level shear profiles were sufficient for rotating storms.
(and earlier outlooks) had much of southern and central Wisconsin in a slight risk of severe thunderstorms, with the chance of isolated large hail/high wind and perhaps 1 or 2 tornadoes.
One of the F3s unfortunately resulted in 1 death near the town of Markesan, Green Lake County.

Reverend Claus L. Clausen was Pastor of the Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, founded in 1844 on the shore of Whitewater Lake in the Town of Heart Prairie, near the present day City of Whitewater, Walworth County, State of Wisconsin.
At the recommendation of the 15th's Colonel Hans C. Heg, Wisconsin Governor Randall commissioned Reverend Clausen as the 15th's Chaplain.
Under such circumstances one cannot be surprised that some members of the Scandinavian Regiment also went astray, went to drinking houses, got drunk, etc., but this was certainly the exception; most of the Regiment's men were respectable and sober.
