The way people referred to "Wapanese" gave me the impression that they were Caucasian people that were obsessed with the Japanese culture...

Interestingly, Wapanese are generally though of as “failures” and rejects within their own culture.
All the traditional characters in Japan and Korea (as opposed to the new wave ones) are identical as they are all Chinese.
And oh, I figure I'd add in the note that all Chinese restaraunts worldwide serve the same stuff, but I doubt any of them are as "authentic" as fast food.:P Remember that almost all oriental restaraunts are started up by immigrants, and they know the secret of grease.

I think Wasian is much better and sounds more like wigger in terms of meaning.
The entire thing didn't start out as a negative thing towards Italians, I was just tearing apart the term "Wapanese" since to me it seems technically incorrect (doesn't matter, the term Wasian is what is used on TV as far as I know).
