NOFX : War on Errorism - Listen, Review and Buy at ARTISTdirect
War on Errorism, NOFX's umpteenth collection of snide skatecore, is a half-great collection of the bratty double-time anthems dominated by Fat Mike's snotty, sarcastic vocals.
Included with War on Errorism is the trailer for Unprecedented, a documentary that traces the bizarre events of the 2000 presidential election.
War on Errorism is long on rhetoric, but it still fires off a few uncontrolled bursts of NOFX humor.

ROCKZONE.COM: CD Reviews: NOFX - The War On Errorism
The War On Errorism demonstrates that a band can actually grow a brain (as well as some balls), and sing a song that might carry a message behind it, and cause the listener to actually think after the song is done.
After hearing the next three tracks on The War On Errorism I got a little confused, because, aside from the fact that the vocals had Fat Mike's very distinct nasal whine, I thought I was listening to a Michael Moore lecture.
All in all, The War on Errorism should be required listening for anyone with 1/3rd of a brain, and a required purchase for anyone who understands what punk music should be.

Their latest, The War On Errorism expands and opens up the band's lyrical palette, but musically, it stays within their confines, while still sounding fresh and fun, something that should have dissipated and been none existent by the ninth album.

NOFX had, essentially, stayed true to the underground DIY hardcore punk ethic upon which they had been raised, refusing to sign to a commercial label and keeping a good relationship with fans whilst producing decent music.

From the obvious “Separation of Church and Skate,” which derides the punk world for becoming so wishy-washy apolitical and watered-down, and the damnation of the stupidity of the American voting populace in “Idiots are Taking Over,” NOFX has had enough with the silly stuff.
While War On Errorism sports a broader thematic focus and a grasp of deeper issues than previous NOFX records, the band’s music is static: The high-octane Californian punk, complete with melodic bass and overblown guitars is still in effect like on all the band’s previous records.
There’s no doubt that Errorism is a shot at the establishment, particularly George W. Bush, but NOFX does it from a standpoint of general leftism that ensures the thrust of the songs will still be relevant long after W. is just a note in history books.

Rate It NOFX's War on Errorism is one of the band's most serious records (if not the one), but like always, there's the typical NOFX humor in it.
Lyrically speaking, this record could have not come at a better time, with its much needed humanistic/political messages and its cry for help in a music scene where music has become as complacent and apathetic as the public that buys it.
