Global Nintendo : Nintendo DS Reviews
WarioWare Touched, as you may have guessed from the name, uses only touch screen and microphone input to propel you through one of the wackiest, craziest gaming experiences you’ll ever go through.
However, in WarioWare Touched, most of the “games” you unlock are quirky little demos like a piano, a metronome and a grandma that requires your affection.
Some of the mini-games and concepts may seem familiar since a lot of them are borrowed from the previous installment to the series, but otherwise the over 180 mini-games are brand new.

Mindless time-chewer 'WarioWare: Touched!' is addictive The Arizona Daily Star ®
"WarioWare: Touched!" is the kind of kinetic, short attention-span time-chewer for which the hand-held Nintendo DS system was made.
Even if you think such light fare as "WarioWare: Touched!" is beneath your sophisticated skills, there's no putting the game down until you've mastered every one of its 180 microscopic contests.
The knock on "WarioWare" titles is that they're mindless and nonsensical, and require no forethought or strategizing.

Review - WarioWare Touched! // Nintendo DS /// Eurogamer
And yet WarioWare Touched has gone in with a bullet at No.6 in the All Formats chart over in the UK, second only to Super Mario 64 as the most sought after DS game.
It's possible that we're more familiar with the concept now after the months we put into WarioWare, Inc., but there's no denying that the difficulty of many of the Touched games is considerably lower than before and as a result presents little more than a humorous demonstration of the DS' touch screen and microphone capabilities.
In keeping with WarioWare, Inc., you're simply tasked with progressing through a series of five-second long 'microgames' that relate to specific characters and their silly and surreal back stories (Jimmy T and Dr. Crygor making a very welcome return).

WarioWare characters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In WarioWare: Touched, a small group of Shaggys appear in one microgame, called "Shhhhhhh!" which usually occurs between levels that involve blowing, such as some of the games in 9-Volt's and Wario Man's sets, as well as all of Mike's games.
Not as much of a character as they are a group.
The name of this character in the original Japanese versions of the games was Shaggy, but he was renamed Fronk in the English versions despite being called "Shag" in the English version Microgame$.

The first WarioWare is a GameBoy Advance Classic, time will tell if WW Touched is. But a game that balances all of the features of GBA with a touchpad and microphone is bound to end up an enjoyable title for a long time to come.
I originally purchased the first WarioWare for my wife, we were looking at a long trip and she usually likes to take her GBA along to make the hours go buy.
I bought the first WarioWare for the GBA when it came out, it was a fluke that I bought it but it has become one of my most played GBA titles.

WarioWare Touched! - Nintendo DS Game Reviews - Mobile Tech Review
The result is WarioWare Touched!, a game that not only delivers the fun and excitement of the original, but using the touch screen, manages to create an even more distinctive and addictive style of play.
Fans of the WarioWare series will definitely fall in love with this latest incarnation of the game, and for those that have yet to experience the insanity that is WarioWare, this game is good introduction to what the appeal of this game series is really all about.
There's quite a bit of replay value in the fact that you can open additional characters as well as new toy games along the way, but the one thing that will keep you coming back more often than not, is just trying to beat the high scores.

Review: WarioWare Touched / DS / Nintendo DS // TotalVideoGames.com
WarioWare Touched might not have quite the same ‘awe’ factor that it had when it first debuted on the GBA but it’s fun to play and will while away the hours away from home.
It’s probably a mantra that DS developers should hang from the their monitors and say before they sleep at night, because it’s these type of games that will succeed on the DS as they have an addictiveness and simplicity that confused gameplay methods in other DS titles just won’t be able to mange.
The games are grouped into a number of sections with various characters acting as cohesion to the randomness of it all.

Touch is good. - Spartan - Entertainment
Asphalt: Urban GT, a racing game, displays the course and lap time, as well as the wise advice of "drift", or, "risky!" which seems appropriate as a warning for a game lacking the intuitiveness of some of the other flagship titles such as "Feel the Magic: XY/XX" from Sega, or "Warioware Touched!" from Nintendo.
With no precedent of this level of sophistication and particular hardware layout in the history of gaming, the DS proves perhaps to be a true breakthrough not only as a handheld, but also within the gaming community itself.
As the name speaks for itself (and I have not even mentioned the incorporated voice recognition technology), the system is built with two screens, and can simultaneously display different images.

Shacknews - Review of WarioWare Touched! for the Nintendo DS
For the uninitiated, the WarioWare series has always been about short and fast mini-games, which are dubbed "microgames," that make gamers react quickly and accurately.
There are some very limited forms of it in Touched!, where two people use the same DS to play one little microgame, but there is no full-featured multiplayer and no wireless connectivity.
In the original GBA game, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$, there weren’t any themes so you truly had to think and evaluate the scene quickly.

So THAT'S what Nintendo was referring to in the WarioWare: Touched!
Innovation is the excellent use of a microphone as a controller, but even that is a tip of the hat to games like Elite that incorporated microphones in their control mechanisms for simple things like firing.
It sounds like the games that use the microphone on the DS have thusfar not done much more, responding to the vibration of a blow, or even just the scratchy sound of the stylus against the mic to activate a trigger.
