That is because Warith Deen is not yet considered a social movement leader and he is one of the lesser-known leaders behind Islam.
I had to be convinced to do Warith Deen and although I knew he was primarily a religious leader, finding out about him and the contributions he has made for Muslims and African Americans in general can not be overlooked.
"[Mohammad says one of his goals] is to educate people about Orthodox Islam and to dispel the negative stereotypes of Muslims as terrorists or the enemies of Christians and Jews." Mohammad is an innovator.

By 1977 Warith (Wallace) changed the name of his organization of hypocrites to the, "the World Community of al-Islam in the West"; the name was changed again to the American Muslim Mission in 1978 and to the Muslim American Society in 1985.
He changed his own name to Warith Deen Mohammed and adopted the title of Imam.
He changed his title from Supreme Minister to the more Islamic one of "Imam" and adopted the name "Warith Deen Mohammed." Organizational membership was opened to all believers.

It was Nation of Islam literature, but they were introducing the Qur’an as the "perfect book", Allah as God, not a Trinitarian belief, and Mohammad as the Prophet (PBUH) There was some confusion in the message, but that was my 1st exposure.
It became more comfortable for me when Imam Warith deen Mohammad became the leader of NOI and introduced prayers and emphasized the Qur’an and the examples of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
I found it more fulfilling, as there were less contradictions and a broader perspective on Islam.
