James is cut from the same cloth as many of Richard's friends, which is to say he has a voluminous knowledge of culture (comics, T.V., and movies in particular, but not limited to), a quick wit, and is a genuinely nice person.
There's plenty going on in the comics themselves this month, and I've realized that I'm slightly behind on "Soulsearchers," so I'll be giving you my thought on issues #70 and #71 this time around, and we'll get back to discussing the inner workings of Claypool in the next column.
I loved comics as an art form as well as entertainment, and foolishly believed that all the companies that produces them were happy places where incredibly-creative people made objective and well-informed decisions based on what would be best for the books themselves.
