	History of Warren County
		Warren County was organized in 1809 and had been a part of Jefferson and Claiborne counties in the Old Natchez District.
		Warren County passed into English ownership following the French and Indian War in the 1760s, and grants of land were made to a few settlers in the lower part of the area.
		The first court session in the county was held in a log cabin near Yokena in 1809, followed shortly by the construction of a brick courthouse at Warrenton, the first county seat.

		One hundred fifty-five years ago on December 1, 1849 a group of Warren County residents met at the Opera House in Lebanon, Ohio in response to a call published in the Buckeye Mercury and Western Star, both local newspapers, for the purpose of forming the Warren County Agricultural Society.
		Evans died before the first fair was held but the fairboard presented his widow with a silver tea service engraved “Warren County Agricultural Society to the family of Isaac Evans deceased.”
