Warren County is a county located in the state of Missouri.
The county was organized in 1833 and named for Gen. Joseph Warren, who died in the Battle of Bunker Hill.
In the county the population is spread out with 26.90% under the age of 18, 7.60% from 18 to 24, 28.80% from 25 to 44, 23.70% from 45 to 64, and 13.00% who are 65 years of age or older.

Warren County was organized out of Montgomery County by Legislative act approved January 5, 1833, and named in honor of General Joseph Warren, who lost his life in the Battle of Bunker Hill.
Bridgeport Township is bounded on the north by Montgomery County, on the east by Elkhorn and Pinckney Townships, on the south by the Missouri River, and on the west by Montgomery County.
Elkhorn Township is bounded on the north by Camp Branch Township, the southern corner of Montgomery County, and the southwestern corner of Lincoln County, on the east by Hickory Grove Township, and on the west by Bridgeport Township.

Pinckney was the first county seat of Warren County, but the site of the place has long since been swept away by the changing current of the Missouri River.

In the mid-1800s, the Booneslick Trail was the most traveled road in Missouri, connecting St. Louis to the great Santa Fe and Oregon trails that led to California and Oregon.
That portion of the famed trail is the most significant historical site in Warren County, which was organized in 1833 from Montgomery County, and named for Joseph Warren, a Revolutionary War general.
A large chunk of the settlement lies along the creeks and rivers in southern Warren County.

This material is in German with an English translation edited by Adolf E. Schroeder of the University of Missouri in March 1982.
The correspondence is to Lewis Eversmann in Missouri from relatives and acquaintances in Germany, Mexico, and the U.S. The letters deal with family and personal matters, inheritances, crops and farming, German politics and the economy in 1848, business in Santa Fe and Tampico, Mexico, and the sale of Gottfried Duden's land in 1857.
The financial records are made up of a book of expenditures, which covers Ludwig's accounts in Germany and Missouri, 1824-1826, including journal entries about his stay with the Haun family during the first year or so in Missouri and his dealings with Duden and other early settlers of the area.
