The 2003 population estimate [1] for the county is 181,743.
Warren County was erected May 1, 1803 from Hamilton County, and named for Dr. Joseph Warren, a hero of the Revolution who sent Paul Revere on his ride and who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
Warren County was created by the first Ohio General Assembly in the Act of March 24, 1803, which also created Butler and Montgomery Counties.

Hamilton Township, one of eleven in Warren County, Ohio, is in the south central portion of the county.
Hamilton Township is bounded on the west and north by the Little Miami River (to the west is Deerfield Township and to the north is Union Township); to the east by Salem and Harlan Townships; and to the south by the Clermont County townships of Goshen and Miami.
The Marietta and Cincinnati Railroad, which was absorbed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, ran through the southeast corner of the township, while the Little Miami Road followed the Little Miami River through the township.

County government officials have asked the FCC to block state action, which they believe is more sympathetic to United Telephone.
The issues raised in Ohio are clearly reminiscent of the dispute involving Arco, Southwestern Bell and GTE in Texas, Warren County claims.
United Telephone and Cincinnati Bell, plus several other LECs, have complained to the PUC that the Warren County system not only violates their franchises, but also is cheating them out of revenues because the system provides customers with toll-free services when they otherwise would have to pay toll charges.
