PORT Adelaide assistant coach Adam Kingsley has cautioned the competition Warren Tredrea is set for a career-best season when the Power captain returns from knee injury next year.

Tredrea is working with the club's fitness and medical staff twice a day to recover from mid-season knee surgery and is hopeful to begin running before Christmas.
