  Defiant Comics: Warriors of Plasm
Warriors of Plasm was Defiant's flagship series judging by the amount of attention paid to it.
Originally titled Plasm, issue #0 was bound in the June 1993 issue of Previews magazine.
Warriors of Plasm was Defiant's first on-going series and lasted 14 issues.

Warriors of Plasm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Warriors of Plasm was the flagship title of Jim Shooter's DEFIANT comic book company.
Warriors of Plasm was published for a total of 13 issues from August 1993 to August 1994.
The 13th and final issue of Warriors of Plasm was one of only two books published by DEFIANT to carry the Schism storyline.

Defiant Comics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jim Shooter then changed the name of the comic from Plasm to Warriors of Plasm in seeking to avoid a costly court battle with Marvel.
Shooter fought back, however, noting in court that the title in question was a fairly recent and obscure publication that was published by Marvel's UK division.
However, only two issues (Dogs of War #5 and Warriors of Plasm #13) made it onto comic store shelves before the company ceased publication of all its titles.

 Plasm Zero
The second printing is distinguished by a silver-foil "Second Edition" marking on the cover and comic, with the image from the Plasm #0 comic within a frame on a fl background, instead of filling the page like the actual comic cover.
Chris Brown was the first to report that both of the two first editions included a coupon on the back that could be cut out and mailed in for the "back cover art" from the comic, to be inserted in the back of the binder.
Chris Brown reports that the actual Plasm Zero Issue comic was only available bound into Previews magazine, which almost makes the book a promo for the cards.

One collector reportedly owns a "stand alone" Plasm #0, but more than likely it is a test printing of some kind and not an official release.
Plasm #0 does not qualify as "comics only" any more than the installments Good Guys #1.5 or Glory #0.
The official Plasm #0 was released as a bound in inclusion supplied with the Previews catalog.

 Tripwire 3
When Jim Shooter published Warriors Of Plasm little did anyone realise the implications that were made by this move.
Shooter, having just been ousted from Valiant, the company he had run as his own personal fiefdom, was desperate to grab some market share, and prove that he could come right back at his (supposed) detractors.
So Plasm was a political machination, a vanity project so intrinsically bereft that it was obvious to all that the comic itself was not the point.

You are right about Dark Dominion, but Warriors came out both as a trading card set and glued into previews, thus angering the speculators.
Oh, and one of the binders, Warriors I think, had another zero issue inside of it, while the other binders just had a chase card.

In hindsight it seems quite silly; the book wasn't particularly good; the plot was a cheap X-MEN knock-off; and the artwork was merely pedestrian.
When Valiant collapsed, Shooter tried again with Defiant Comics, and he collaborated with Lapham on WARRIORS OF PLASM.
The concept of this book was a bit better, but the real standout was the art, depicting a fully realised alien world with all its gaudy costumes and weird landscapes.
