House (1964-1968), served as State’s Attorney of Washington County, Illinois (1968-1972), clerked for United States District Court Judge James L. Foreman (1972-1973) and engaged in the general practice of law with the firm of Hohlt, House, DeMoss and Johnson (1964-1986).
He served as Resident Circuit Judge of Washington County (1986-2004) and was elected to the Supreme Court in 2004.

He served as County Judge and was elected to serve in the Constitutional Convention.
One more published history adds a conflicting detail: In "History of Washington County, Illinois", originally published in 1879 and republished by the Historical Society of Washington County in 1990, a sketch of George Vernor notes that 'Zenos' Vernor was born in South Carolina.

From the infomation I can gather, I'm assuming it was in Washington County, IL, near Irvington.
It is my guess that this is the supercell that went on to produce a damaging tornado in northwest Jefferson County and in Marion County.
Appears to be a HP Supercell given the amout of rain.
