Calvert County and state highway agencies are installing a traffic light at the entrance of the College of Southern Maryland's Prince Frederick campus to help alleviate delays that students and staff members confront most evenings as they leave campus.
At the request of the county, the state highway agency conducted a study of the intersection and determined that it easily meets the crite-ria used to determine whether the traffic volume justifies a traffic light on a rural road.
The threshold figures are at least 525 vehicles passing per hour for eight hours each day on a main road, and at least 53 vehicles per hour for eight hours a day on a side street.

Having driven the road for many years, I can tell you that the State Route starts at an intersection just west of I-5 / SR-18 and intersects with SR-516.
From there is travels north past Sea-Tac to a short freeway section, which then intersects with the map you have.
