News of the MUA's sale of the Washington Valley land got a positive response from local residents, some of whom have long battled a host of development plans in the area, including a proposed county jail in the 1990s.
Some 680 acres in Washington Valley, a natural area abutting two county parks and near the Morristown National Historic Park, was sold to the freeholders for $9.4 million this month by the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, it was disclosed yesterday.
These decreases represent 32 percent of all the SO2 and 20 percent of all the NOx emitted from stationary sources in New Jersey, and 19 percent of all the SO2 and 5 percent of all the NOx from all sources in the state, including cars and trucks.

In 1900 he was living in Leaf River, Ogle County, with his widowed mother who was providing a home for him and his son Paul That same year Nellie Fairlamb was living with her grandfather, Levi L. Kerns, in MT. Morris, Ogle County.
In 1865 Fairlamb returned to the United States, and established himself in Washington, D. C., where he was active until 1872, as teacher and composer, and with an amateur opera company he himself had organized, produced his grand opera Valérie.
From 1872-1876 while still residing in Delaware County, he was a member of Company B, 6th Infantry Regiment of Penna. National Guard and attained the rank of Sergeant.

This area along the river is where Tewksbury Township in Hunterdon County borders Washington and Chester Townships in Morris County, and Bedminster Township in Somerset County.
The first historic district in Tewksbury to be listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places, Oldwick dates from the early 18th century, when it was founded by English settlers.

The second lawsuit is filed against Washington Township and their broker, Coldwell Banker, for the misrepresentation of the boundaries of the preserved farm when it was sold at auction.
Kaiser has done a number of good things for Washington Township, including her efforts in preserving open space, her vote this past May to significantly increase local taxes, did not exhibit the sound judgment we should expect from a leader committed to ending the annual budget charades at Town Hall.
