 | | Upgrades are well underway at six wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) in the watersheds of New York City's Catskill and Delaware Water Supply Systems, according to an announcement by Commissioner Joel A. Miele Sr., P.E., of the City's Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). |
 | | Five of the plants undergoing upgrades are in Delaware County -- the municipal facilities owned by the Villages of Delhi, Hobart, Stamford and Walton, and another that treats wastewater at Worcester Creamery, formerly Mountainside Dairy Farms, in Roxbury. |
 | | In addition to these six plants, the upgrades of 21 smaller WWTPs in the Catskill/Delaware watershed are all scheduled for completion by or before the first quarter of 2003. |
