The racial makeup of the county is 93.91% White, 4.32% Black or African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.42% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.26% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races.
In the county, the population is spread out with 23.30% under the age of 18, 9.70% from 18 to 24, 27.50% from 25 to 44, 23.40% from 45 to 64, and 16.00% who are 65 years of age or older.

 Description of the Geology of Warren County Pennsylvania
This county is square, 36 ½ miles long on the New York State line and 26 ½ miles wide on the Crawford and Mckean County lines.
The most remarkable feature in the drainage of this county is the heading of Tionesta Creek on the highest land overlooking the Allegheny River in Watson Township; * whence it flows in a direction opposite to the course of the river, north-east, to Cranberry Swamp (6 miles south-east of Warren).
Carll’s conclusion that in the ages before the invasion of the northern ice the drainage of the Tionesta was northward to Warren, and that the reversal of the drainage to its present southward direction was caused by a dam of glacial drift being thrown across the ancient valley between the Cranberry Swamp and Warren.

 The History of Shelby and Moultrie Counties, Illinois
Warren was a militia colonel in Tennessee before he came to Illinois, and was a militia general in this State; was Captain of a company in the Black Hawk war, and re presented this district in the State Senate for a number of years.
Daniel Miner came to the township in 1838; his wife, who was a Miss Ledbetter, came to the county in 1824, with her parents.
Peter Voris, the grandfather of Charles, was born and raised in Lancaster county, Pa. He removed to Ohio in 1815 and settled in Stark county, a fterward lived and died in Summit county in 1849.

Brokenstraw Township, which was organized as the fourth township on March 8, 1821 and lies near the geographical center of Warren county.
The name Brokenstraw, it seems is taken from the Indian word that meaning "Cushanadauga," bestowed upon this region because of the Irvine Flats that once bore an annual crop of tall prairie grass that in the fall would break and fall over.
From flint knapping to precision forged steel, exhibits document the life and work of the Warren County residents from prehistory to the present.

LOCATION: Approximately 14 miles southwest of the city of Warren; 4.6 miles southeast of the village of Cobham; within the Allegheny National Forest.
REMARKS: A wide, deeply cut channel of Brokenstraw Creek was dammed during the Great Ice Age in Pennsylvania by a kame moraine during the retreat of the ice.
Poor drainage and great accumulations of organic matter have produced the bog, which is the finest example of a northern bog in Pennsylvania.

At the same session that the county of Butler was established by the Legislature, a resolution was passed on the 15th day of April, 1803, appointing James Silvers, Benjamin Stites, and David Sutton commissioners to examine and select the most proper place for the seat of justice of Butler County.
At the meeting of the commissioners June 2, 1823, "petitions being presented for the division of Liberty Township, ordered that the prayer of said petition be granted, and that the new township be called by the name of Union Township, and that an election be held,".

Crawford county is, therefore, practically destitute of coal.
The lowest member of No. XII is here called the "Sharon conglomerate." This rock increases in thickness eastward, and becomes the "Garland conglomerate" of Warren county, and the "Olean conglomerate" of Mckean county, the outlying outcrop patches of which make those magnificent "rock cities" along the State line.
The whole county is covered with such Glacial drift; and the ancient valleys, which formerly drained northward into Lake Erie, have been filled up to heights varying from 50` to 350`, so as to reverse the entire drainage of North-western Pennsylvania, and send the rain-fall into the Gulf of Mexico.
